    Gas milage

I have a 2000 ws6 trans am, and the gas milage is only around low 20's. It has 3 inch exhaust and a slp lid. But i have another 98 ws6 and it gets high 20's. The car runs excellent, nothing wrong at all with runing or driving. Has 65,000 miles. Any idea's?

What mods does the 98 have?

    same transmission on both?

    Rear gears, any different?

is this street, highway, or combined?

    100% street I usually do 16mpg.

i would say a full tune up and if you want more then go get a tune.

Plus you could try the ole tcw3 oil trick..

My driving is more around town and rural roads than highway and I average around 18 mpg. If I get some highway time it goes 22 or better. Mine is a stock '01 6-speed. As bad as that may sound, it's still several mpg better than my 4x4 Durango with a 318 auto and a lot more fun!!

I rarely get below 20-22 unless I don't drive on interstate at all and have the pedal buried every time the light turns green or just wanna smash it every 5 minutes or so. I have noticed that I get a lot better mpg with premium but that's always the case for people that have cars that "recommend" premium.
I dont think I run through a tank of gas without having some fun with it to be honest. Oh yeah, almost forgot, I have 14x,xxx miles on my car. Yet, still get great mpg.
