    Question Gas fumes...

Anybody else have a strong odor of gasoline for days after you fill it up? I've owned two Trans Ams and both had this issue. If you know how to fix it please let me know! any sticky??

Get your gas cap checked and see if it doesn't leak.

The gas cap is fine...I would notice something that simple. Its only when I fill up and lasts a couple of days or at least until a quarter is gone.

so you basically have the gas smell all the time? Do you have an off road y pipe (catless)?

Check the fill tube, I had a previous car rust on the neck and when the tank was full, gas would leak out through it.

Fill it up then Jack it up and try to see if you can see any saturation spots around the tank and gas lines. Even try shaking the car, before you jack it up, and try to see if it helps point out the leak.

if you fill it right up than park it in your garage then the fuel will expand from heat and will smell did it with my vette before filled up put it in the garage and it smelt dad asked if i filled up he knew what it was right away so don't fill it up before you put it away fill before you go somewhere or don't fill it up all the way

it's tuned and it was going on before the mods...since day 1. Like my first one. I never added mods it to and it lasted 2-3 days depending on how much I drove. I don't own a garage and its after I fill it up. If the windows are up then it's like a gas chamber. It's not the obvious, I'm not an idiot...
