    Free ram air mod

Has anyone done this mod? It would seem that it would let hot air in? Is it worth doing if i have the Whisper lid, K&N, Filter and Ram Air Hood already?

If your hood is functional I dont think you should do it, I read somewhere that ws6 owners should not do this mod.

Stock you have the engine taking in air through a little slit- made a noticeable difference in the SOTP feel for me- I have since upgraded to the Fast Toys ram air- so no worries about hot air, but even before, made the car accelerate easier-

Notice a pattern?...no Ram Air...if you don't have a WS6 or SS then there is all the reason in the world to do this.

You'd be a moron not to do it. 95% of competent F-body owners do it. Get a clue and be like the rest of us.

one day i was getting my oil changed. this guy was passing though a town near my house and heading to florida. he was an engineer for rouch he owns a trans am. he toldme about this secrect. its called a bottom breather.. he designed the intake and suspention on the stage 3 and 427r mustangs.. one of the smartest guys i no... the internet shows to cut out the whole thing he told me to make the a good size oval it makes better airflow.... there are air lid pieces that arealready cut out but u can do it yourself no prob... i ported my throttle body and made a bottom breather it made my power band more of a power band... i think it helps worth a good shot if your broke

do it, you have nothing to lose, and power to gain, although not significant power, just some extra, and no risk

my wife has all of knives, sharp objects locked away from me. she thinks its for my safety, she thinks i have some sort of mental problem. little does she know....lol haha.

seriously though, i dont want jagged edges and shit that would result from those items. plus out of those 3, all i have is a steak kinfe. majority of my tools are in my dads storage n he's outta town.

Yeah, the other 5% have WS6s that don't want the hot air from the Radiator coming into their intake.

Have you looked down that hole 5%? havent you noticed it goes right to the ground? that the trans ams and camaros are set up similarly to the corvette as far as air delivery. I did that mod, and no temperature increase. I also did the nostril baffle removal as well. Even after I sold my trans am, the club I was with had alot of newbies with t/a's, and I had them come to my place and I did both mods for them, and they saw improvement. These cars arent as advanced as all the new shit they have out there. You can mess with these cars and see a difference. And died with these cars was the real muscle car era. Now with all the extra shit they put into cars, it's hard to tinker with them, like the new sky for example. Or they mess the cars up with added weight such as the new challenger.
