Free Ram Air Mod
I took my car to the shop to have them put on my FAST intake and throttle body and get it dyno tuned. My question is this.
I did the Free Ram Air mod on my car and they said when you cut those baffles out it causes the lid to reduce pressure. So they put a metal plate back on there. Is this true? Does it reduce the pressure and is this bad?

You might want to give more details. I have never heard of anyone lossing preasure. I was always told that the more air the better.....PHP mag proved that with the BGRA mod.

More air = more power. Open her back up, I don't see the logic in restricting the air flow. I'm lost on the lid/pressure answer. BGRA-Which makes WS-6's use the Ram-Air openings netted me 3mph 1/4.

Me too on the lid/pressure answer. Maybe they are bs'g him. With the bigger intake and TB and wide open baffles it is running lean??? Maybe they added the baffles to reduce the air flow?? Maybe that had a hard time tuning it.....i don't know I am a marketing / finance guy.....

They charged $240 for the install of the Intake and TB
and they charged $600 for the dyno tune
Here is a link to what they blocked off.

The Free Ram Air Mod
It was the airbox tray. They didn't completely block it off. Only what i had cut to open it up

Okay. I have heard of that. I though you were talking about the hood baffles. So was it worth 860?
