so i saw this car on craigslist and i am probably gonna go check it out today. its decent milage and looks fairly clean minus that awful scoop on the hood. i was wondering what would the top dollar one should pay for this car.

email the person and ask for pictures..look at the back...if the exhuast points down and has no tips..its a v6..also get a better picture of the side..if it says formula you are golden..if it says firebird its a 6.

Exactly my thoughts, dont treat it like they are giving you a deal either even if it is a v8 car, yes it has low miles but it also has NO options. Thats a car that you should turn into a full on track car no option formula is imo the best option for that.

what options are you speaking of? leather seats, the ram air hood, raised wing and diffierent bumpers? i dont really need all that...its whats under the hood that counts for me....the power is there...my formula put down 306hp-331tq and all i had on it was a diablo tune and lid and free mods...as long as its a bird with ls1 then im game..

see you cant trust these fawkers, they'll tell you whatever they can to get you on thier lot, talk to sarge about dealership service

buy from owners not dealers IMO, always a better buying experience

Yes the ls1 is the main option i would want aswell, but out of the three f-bodys i had two had t-tops and 1 didnt, i will never own another f-body that doenst have t-tops. Leather is nice but cloth is just fine, its really the t-tops that sell it for me.

i would do without for these reasons...it still has a ls1 intake on it..so those tons extra...i doubt ..looks like he only did what looked good kind of thing..
    2. the volant air filters had not be cleaned in a long time..which will tell you about the maintenance on the engine itself

The silver Firebird wheels were the dead V6 Giveaway to me.
Formula's and T/A's have the silver twisted wheels like your old car had.
