They are faster then the GTs, and faster then the mach1, it would be a close race but you should win if you dont fuck up. But thats for a stock one? What does he have and what do you have?

A good driver with a stick mach 1 would win against a lightning, but auto that truck would probably win, the mach 1 auto have trouble getting power to the wheels. You should win if hes stock. If he gets a pulley challenge him to a freeway race lol.

Stock Lightnings on average run mid 13's. I guess you can gage how your car will perform with that figure.

There must be some slow Lightnings up there. Over here in Houston they're in the mid to high 13 range...depending on weather conditions.

black- 2002 firehawk 94 Z28
i believe they weigh 4300pds and were 850 pds lighter than regular f-150 the 02-03 were rated at 380 hp. with 355 rears. i had one for a couple of days and i raced a buddy of mine who had a 7400pound 3/4 ton dodge diesel with a chip and from 0-60 i only had him by a car but from 60-100 i had him by 7 or 8. at the time i had a stock 02 ta and my wife and i raced from 65-70 to 100 and the lightning would pull me by a car and wife driving the lightning kept shuting down at a 100. but i was catching back up i bet by 120 i would have passed her...

They weigh in at roughly 4,800 Lbs without weight reduction. 99-00 had 355's rated at 360 HP and the 01-04's had 373 rated at 380. Trust me when I say I know a thing or two about Lightnings. I just sold mine a couple backs back.

Black on black.- 2001 WS6 M6 (stock)
I beat on 65-95 roll by about 2.5 car lengths. Stock WS6 M6. You sould rape him. My GT is = with them from a roll and ran a best of 14.7@98.XX mph (NO TRACTION). Dynoed 244 whp and weighs 3520 with me and 3/4 tank of gas. 88 GT. THAT is lightning comp, lol.
If he gets pullies and DR's DO NOT GO FROM A DIG! PS. Here is my friend running a lightning in his 4-door toyota tundra.

My buddy has a stock 2000 lightning and it will run 13 flat all day long at the track. I would think a newer model would run a little better. I think it will be a close race myself and will depend on the driver.
