Flooded my Bird in last nights RAIN!!

i have a 2000 Unfortunately V6 firebird and last night i got caught on a street that was flooded more than i thought it was and my car killed. The water was like halfway covering the fog lights and i was wondering if all i need to do is change the starter or is this accident last night something serious. PLEASE HELP and if possible can i get some good news because this is bad.

no it just took a nose dive and thats it and it killed but the top is dry thats why i assume it could be the starter but not sure the bottom has alot of important stuff but what do u think

I would let it dry out for a day. Then if you know for sure there isn't any water in the motor then try to start it. If it turns over then your starter is fine. If you think you have water in the motor then pull the plugs and crank the motor over. Then change the oil and put new plugs back in it.

Most definately need to pull the plugs before you do anything as well as change the oil. It could have just killed the engine if you lucky, but if you try cranking it with water still in it, it could go bad! Take them out and see if it will turn over.

if you read the whole thread he cracked the block and had to purchase an entire new engine.

Yes, take the plugs out and change the oil before you do anything.
