Flip-up light replacement
A while back on the .net, I saw a WS6 that had flush headlights that were'nt the flippy kind. I'm always been interested but I've just remembered to ask about them.
Anyone have information/pics on this?
In anyone is unclear as to what I'm talking about, the flip up lights were replaced with static lights. I guess it's kind of like the c5-c6 corvette change.
Thanks

Err...yeah, i was interested for uniqueness, but I kind of find it makes the Trans Am look like a dorky kid with glasses..
Maybe a better pic will do it more justice. Thanks for the link!

Looks great on the early 4th gens...looks lamborghini-esque to me..
Here's a hawk...doesn't look as good on the 98-02s imo. But it looks ace on the earlier ones.

are your "flippy" lights bad or are you going for a different look?

I just thought it was interesting. Besides i think we all can agree that open flip up lights = air brake.

Am i the only one that likes the way the early 4th gen looks with it? Almost makes me want to buy an old '97, get it detailed, throw in an LS3 and call it a car.

I think I'm going to do it...anyone know if these light kits are still available?
How much do 97' trans ams go for? non-ws6. Milage doesn't matter. Can I find one for under 5k?
What about an LS2 engine? LS2 will just bolt on to the same transmission right?

i'm sure you can find a 93-97 for less than 5k,especially if you going to replace the engine and trans, mileage will not be an issue,ls2 will work with 4l60e or t56,not sure about computer or wiring.

Why would i need to replace the transmission?

I saw this on the net too...
I was like...wat?
Is this a 93-97 with a 98+ style ram-air hood? Is that custom or is it available?
Anyone have any pictures of good paint jobs for the 93-97 TA? I was thinking of gloss black with gloss white in indentions on the stock non-ram air hood.
Also, anyone know if there are halo bulbs that will fit into the fixed headlight kit?Last edited by FirebirdFever; 03-16-2009 at 01:17 PM.
