Finnaly bought another Trans Am!
Well I know i've been asking about wether to buy a TA or a firehawk etc ever since my other one got totaled, haven't been able to get financed direct with a bank so I had to go through a dealership, I live in SD california and I found a blue TA in Colorado in a VW dealership, here are the specs:
1999
Mileage: 47,709
Engine: 5.7L 8 cyl Fuel Injection
Exterior: Blue
Interior: Grey
6 speed
Stock Number: V6558A
VIN: 2G2FV22G4X2235743
Cost is about 12k shipped, only thing looks like it's missing is the front license plate cover, im going to request they get me one before I receive the car. I figured for how low the miles are that is a good price, ill probably buy a ws6 hood first, and maybe paint it black later... what do you guys think? I haven't run a carfax but I requested one today.
well someone walked in bought it cash.... now im looking at this one in ohion, can anyone run a carfax for me? they said they would give me one, but if anyone reads this send it my way

That's a GREAT DEAL!!!!
I bought a 99 with 48k miles a little over a month ago for $13.5k
5.7L V8
Black w/t-tops
Tan Leather Interior
Clear Title and no negative hits on the history report.

Navy Blue Metallic- 2000 Firebird Formula
My perfect 2002 WS6 with 62k miles was $16,000.
EDIT: I ran your specs on Edmunds.com, and it comes up with a dealer price of about $11,070, so if you're getting it at $12,000 shipped, and it has a clean title, then you're probably doing pretty good. Just keep in mind taxes, tags, title, etc.Last edited by acrylicophobia; 11-18-2006 at 03:18 PM.

tell them 12k shipped with registration and tax included. or do 11.5k, negotiate the price.. since you buy long-distance I'd stick with a certified car,
where they do the 120 point inspection thing and give you carfax copy etc.
since you can't physically inspect it. etc.. u probably pay 1-2k extra but it is certified so you can bring it back if u find something wrong with it.

good thing about this one is it's right by me, so I can go check it out, it's carfax certified does it sound like a good deal? or is it overpriced?

sound good, don't look too excited when you get there, the sales person will read you immediately and will not bargain down.. just tell him 12.5k with reg and tax included, then he'll most likely say 13k.. then u got a nice deal. looking at the pics on the site, the tips on the cat-back don't look stock. you may have tips or moded cat-back. may save u a few bucks there if that's done already.
btw. pop the hood and see any mods? this car sound stock, just like I bought it,, also make sure u get the special key bolt for the wheels.. they have a special GM bolt lock. and the front plate cover. keep us posted man, I'm re-living my first momment when I bought mine a year ago, 55k, 1999, blacked out windows, stock car, $12k out the door,, I drove it back with the t-tops off, drove it like I stole it all the way home. wooh that wuz fast, then I started moding it, spent 6k so far parts+labor..

09 EclipseGT 75 Chevy 4x4- 2001 Trans-Am 13 F-XT
Try to get them to buy some new floor mats for you seeing they are missing. No TCS to kill your burnouts by accident! That looks like a nice car.

What's wrong with this one?!?

Look on the forums for the vehicles for sale.
Get pre-approved funding from your bank, then go buy privately to save some money.

I haven't been able to get financed through a bank or else I would have lots more options, I tried ELOAN and Capital One neither one approved me, but dealers have been able to approve me. Any recommendations?
