Black on black.- 2001 WS6 M6 (stock)
Finally bought one...
Well, I finally bought my LS1 equipped vehicle and figured I would share it with the board. It has been a while since I bought it (january) and it now has 79,700 miles on it. BONE STOCK, last owner was an older man and all the miles are on I35 (he lived 20 miles from work 1-way). Pictures speak for themselves (Bought at a dealership, called the old owner). My car is also featured at: 26,46,and 1:12 on this LS1 meet video.
Here is what she weighs V DOT scales. Me not in it. 3/4 tank of gas.
Clutch and all that is stock, fluid looks good, 0-30GC used and I burn 1/4 qt per 3K miles or so (stupid PCV I bet). Car feels strong. Ran an 02 GT 5-speed w/CAI and mufflers and gave him the hit and went from 40-100 and put 2 cars worth of daylight between our bumpers...(4 car kill counting being beside each other and the car he would need to pull even again).
Changed wheel bearings out back
Fuel pump
TPS sensor
IAC
Diff fluid (running 85-140 Royal Purple)
Tranny fluid
30/15 window tint
Not bad all in all, car ran me 12+TTL.
Oh, here is how it is spending it's time for a while, barrowing the mustang that I gave to my dad and just enjoying it while letting the TA weather out pollen season in it's new home...black is a BITCH!
OH...I was going to do my plugs and wires but the wires OHM'ed out to 270 OHm (my friend's 05 Impala had 2800 OHM per wire!!!)(10X longer too...)
The plug was loose-gap checked at .057 (stock is .060) and looked VERY good to me...I put it back in and saved some time and money
Here is what a 79,700 mile LS1 plug looks like.
here is the side-bolster of the driver's seat, very happy it wasnt rubbed raw like the one on my 95' TA.
