F***in crashed my bird this morning

i was merging onto the highway on my way to class this morning like i do everyday, and a semi was trying to get over into my lane to get off at an exit (the highway goes into 4 lanes there) i needed to be in the 3rd lane for my exit a mile down the road, i slowed down to let the semi goin front of me, and after he did i accelerated to merge into the next lane over, the 2 lanes i was in where wet cuz the sun hadnt hit them yet, n as i switched lanes my rear end got loose and started to hydroplane, i tried to counter steer it and get it back but my rear just kept swinging towards the inside, it got to a point where i couldnt do nething, n i went into a 360 across 3 lanes n hit the passenger side rear on the concrete wall and skid down the wall a little, facing the wrong way, so i guess it was more of a 540, luckily there was a state trooper a couple cars back who had his lights on n stuff, i got out to look at the damage n im gonna need a new taillight, most likely new hatch, rear bumper, and rear side panel, my exhaust tip is smashed to, the cop who came later gave me a warning for "driving at an unsafe speed", which i wasnt but he said hes going to assume i was, im not sure if i should fight it or not cuz im getting off with a warning instead of them assuming i was driving wrecklessly or something else, so i think ill stick with wat they gave me cuz im not gettin a fine or nething, warnings dont put points on ur license do they?

That really sucks! No you wont get points for a warning. I dunno if you could fight that or not since im not expert.

What part of Pa are you from? What road did this happen on?

Damn you guys for crashing up your f-bodies lately! It scares me from driving mine thinking i might be next!

i live in lancaster, it happened on route 30, it happened between the entrance ramp from oregon pike and the reading 222 exit

Man I know how you feel. I had my bird all of 3 weeks before it got wrecked. Check pics under the thread "Already Wrecked". At least you are doing ok

Man dude theres a few of us that been there, and it suxs. Try to get some pics and keep us posted.

I had my car for 3 weeks form another wreck, then bam stupid bit*h totaled my bird.

im partinging in out actually, so my passenger side should be good so let me know later on.

warning is not a ticket/citation, no need to fight it. warnings are either written or verbal...

WOW!! Sounds real familiar. Happened to me a few weeks ago but, luckily, I pulled out of the spin and kept it under control.

sorry to hear about the car, but atleast you walked away OK. A 360 through 3 lanes of traffic or 540 could have been a lot worse, like not being able to make this post.

yea it does, im just pissed at myself for crashin my baby, never thought it would happen, i should be gettin it back from the shop tomorow to take it to get an estimate, so ill get some pics n try to get them up here to show everyone

and doozjaman, yea im thankful that i didnt hit anyone covering that much ground, and 30 gets busy as hell in the mornings when everyones going to work, it coulda been real bad like u said, theres alot of semis on there and it coulda turned into a pile up real easy

Such is the fate of us young people who drive fast cars. At least he didn't give you a ticket though...that would've just been mean considering you just fucked up a nice car.

You definitely inspired me to quit being lazy and cheap about replacing my tires though...they're getting pretty bad.

yea man, definetly get rid of shitty tires, my front ones were balding pretty bad n i think that had alot to do with it n made counter steering worthless, i just got 4 new temporary tires put on and i can feel a differnce already, so yea dont fuck around with bad tired n wet roads
