Empty trunk's space compartment?
Anybody ever made or seen anybody that sells any compartment box or piece for the empty spot to the left(Well, not everyones is empty) of the t-top holders in the trunk? Right now I have a cardboard box from ws6 stores in which my brakes came in which i hold things like leather cleaner, interior cleaner/shiner, lintfree cloth, and other small stuff for the car. The cardboard A) looks ugly and out of place B) will leak if fluid was to hit it, and C)interferes with t-top storage unless pushed out of the way which gets annoying.
Or, something totally different but related. Where do you guys keep those small bottles and things in your car?

They also make custom subwoofer boxes that fit it.

I had a 10 inch woofer in there and I'm pretty sure you could fit a 12 inch in there.

I don't want a sub in there.... I want something like a storage compartment.
I don't really care for upgrading the sound system a lot, waste of money and a lot more weight imo

Ya the car I just purchased for my wife had the custom box in there with a 10 inch sub woofer,,,it actually fits nice but we are not into stereos so it all came out of the car along with the huge amp, radio and all the wiring.
I installed a factory 12 disc CD changer back in it's place so it's not really a good storage area for anything in our cars. We really don't keep much of anything in ours anyway, for any length of time that is

I was actually thinking about going to Home Depot or Lowes and making a drawer type thing with a custom front to match the opening that I can store cleaning products in

You could do that with a subwoofer box.
Someone sells these things somewhere just for these F-bodies. Mine fit like a glove and was shaped specifically to fit in the area with no room to spare. They are even already covered with carpet that matches the car..
Once in there just make a door for the front where the speaker would normally go and like magic you have a storage container that fits like a glove and looks like it belongs there. You could even get fancy and put a lock on it. I sure miss the factory locking storage container that my Iroc had back there,,,it was handy.
Thats probably how I would do it if I were so inclined.

LOL,,,naaa,,,not a stupid question to me. Shucks I don't know who sells them myself. This car came with it and I took that junk out.
I just figured since you were talking about making a box, this may be a simpler solution, it's already made to fit perfectly in that corner of the car,,,,fab a door, maybe open the speaker hole a bit and you're done. Save you some hassle. Shucks for someone like me thats all I would figure these speaker boxes good for anyway

Has anybody fit a 10lb N2O bottle in that area? Ive heard of people putting in the spare tire area, but I want to keep my spare, and still want a bottle, and still keep my t-top storage, and not put it inbetween the rear seats or on the rear deck, so.... can I have my cake and eat it too???

That would probably take some fab work with cutting involved but I wouldn't say it can't be done.

i agree on that. instead put 8s in the sail panels and it will take a lot less power for you to hear the bass which means cheaper (i assume. i have never looked much into aftermarket subs).
you could go to a local audio place. they custom fabricate fittings for the dash, they should be able to make something that looks stock. couldn't be expensive either.
