3" ELECTRIC EXHAUST CUTOUT CATBACK TURBO SYSTEM KIT! STI WRX EJ20,25 GDA GDB GC8 | eBay
so simply put this thing is amazing, if there is nothing cheap about it, except one feature i dont like but others may like, instead of pushing a button to open and close you have to hold in the switch up or down to fully open or close, so you can actually open it 1/2 1/4 1/8 or all the way if you wanted. Now that being said you can actually have the motor keep trying to close it even when its closed all the way, same thing for opening this could eventually lead to motor burnout but if so you can always replace it with a name brand one sense the manual cutout will still be there. Now this kit comes with the turn down but it didnt fit under my car so i didnt use it, everything is included, wire, switch pre wired and gaskets. This cutout does not leak at the valve, that amazed me actually but it seals up perfect. The time to open and close is about 5 full seconds, a few days ago i had a post asking how to quite my exhaust, well i ordered the magnaflow muffler, its so quite i cant even hear it, not a big deal i drive with the cutout open anyway but its nice to be able to go 100% quite when i want.
Long story short, best $160 + $20 install ever spent.

I don't think my DMH cutout was much more than that. Same deal with the switch, you have to hold it and guesstimate when the cutout is fully open or fully closed.

Ive seen DMH cutout kits for 179. Probably lower if I search hard enough.

I'm more impressed with the $20 install for an electric cutout.
