Easy Performance Mods for 1999 T/A
Hello Everyone,
I just inherited my new project, a 1999 T/A that has been hit in the front end. It's always been a dream of mine to own one of these cars and now its finally coming true. It is going on the frame machine this week to pull it straight before I install the new front clip. I figure now is the right time to do some easy mods to boost performance but I really don't know where to start. I already have the WS6 hood and airbox so I am looking for some other ideas.
Please help!

is it a auto or 6 speed?
headers and catback will net you about 40 rwhp.
nitto 5555 tires hook much better than stock.
ls6 intake manifold is worth an easy 10.2000 nhra edition formula
a few bolt ons, 379 rwhp

subframe connectors, strut tower brace, lid, headers, cat back, new plugs+wires, and a tune in that order is what I would do. dont waste your time with gears.

Put nittos on mine last week, went to the track. Hooks up too good now. Lost 3/10ths! They say need to switch the gears now to take advantage of the tires? What do you think?

dont bother putting gears in that 10 bolt.. I know its not what you want to hear, but if you plan on modding this thing for more then just a casual street drive, drop the money on a new rearend. I have 4.10 in min and I love it, but its not a dd. i have no problem hokking or turning my drag radials

you try to mod that rearend with new hears and you will be replacing it sooner or later. I striped the possi out of my the first weekend I had it. then you have just wasted money that could have gone twords a new rear..moser m9 all the way, and if you are a m6 get in the mindset that sooner or later the clutch will go to. I have the z06 clutch in mine and I love it.
