That is true. When the A/F ratio went down a little bit, (on the second pull) the HP rose. The shop guys told me that I was runnin just a hair lean as well. When I compared it to my last dyno, where I was runnin about a high 12 to mid 13 like you. Thats what I was basing that on. Plus the guy that did my tune said that he tuned it a little conservative since the engine is still breaking in. So, just a hair lean...

Does it get to 14 up top?? It is so compressed I can't tell.
I shoot for 13:1 N/A.
If it is 14:1...that is a little lean.
What pistons?

This is going to take a while...
SLP Intake, Smooth Bellows, BBK 85mm intake manifold, ported and descreened MAF, comp cams 222/224 cam, chromoly pushrods 7.4" (stock legenth), comp cams high rpm roller lifters, hooker LT headers, Custom Y-Pipe (made by Rob at Overkill motorsports...thanks again Rob!!), Magnaflow muffler, SPEC stage 3 clutch, Underdrive pulley, Removed the cats, EGR, air pump thing, and the A/C, 160 degree thermostat, short throw shifter, power steering pump pulley, 3.73 gears, MSD 8.5mm plug wires, NGK Iridium plugs. I might be forgetting something, but I think thats about it. I got the computer tuned as well.
Here's a couple of pics of the engine compartment

Stock bottom end...get that lean fixed for sure.
Might back your numbers down a little, but that is nothing like blowing up a motor.
Plus...you already have the numbers.

Yeah, the guy who programmed it said that it was a pretty conservative tune. He will retune it (free of course) once the engine and new parts are more broke in. I'm hoping for about 400HP.

Here's a pretty dumb question/idea. I can smell some of the fuel coming out of the exhaust. I was pondering the thought of putting in a spark plug in the exhaust to get a little flame to come out. I'm not talking about getting a flamethrower kit or something like that which forces your car to run rich. Just the extra crap coming out of the exhaust to burn...you know just to impress the friends. Any downsides to doing this??

When your A/F ratio is corrected (no more lean) you will actually lose a little hp, not so much that you will actually notice it I wouldnt think. Would highly recommend getting it corrected ASAP. Dont want to see ya break anything. Pick up some heads and you should get over 400rwhp that you are shooting for.
