Door panels blue underneath the black, WTF?!

I have the ebony (black) interior on my 02 ws6.. there are some spots of wear on the door panels where the black is rubbing off and its light blue underneath...this is occuring on the softer part of the panel where its the vinyl or fake leather...whats the deal with this? is it normal or were my door panels really blue at one point?

same deal with my 2001.
i didnt notice from wear, but from small scratches on some of the interior trim parts, like the piece that holds the buttons for the windows and locks in place. also, if i take the change holder out of the console, thats blue on the underside.
