Daytime running/ turn signal light color problem?

i recently bought a 98 trans am and everything is fine on the car except one of the daytime running lights looks white while on but the other one is yellow like it should be. does anyone know what would cause this? do i need to replace a bulb or is it the light cover?

Same thing with me when I bought my car 2 months ago...... the two light bulbs were different...

The guy probably just put in whatever bulb would fit in it before selling it. So you probably have a stock bulb and another in the other side.

Yeah. I've got clear covers on mine and they are both yellow when on like they are supposed to be.

You just need a new bulb.

replace them both so you know they are the same color...when I replaced one of mine, the one taht had been in there awhile had faeded and looked tacky with the new one in...

Do any of you have problems withe the amber coming off of your bulbs? I had replaced the bulbs because they were basically white and then a few months later my turn signals stopped working due to one burning out. When i removed it, the orange was all peeled away again.

Never in any car I've ever had. Maybe cheap bulbs?

Where are you buying your bulbs? I've never seen that. Post a pic.

The amber on the glass is really the color of the glass, not a paint or coating, so it shouldn't be coming off.

Both sets of replacement bulbs were purchased from Schucks (Kragen or Checkers depending on where you live). They were the generic bulbs that Sylvania makes. I didn't happen to take a pictures unfortunately. Though I will be sure to take some if it happens again. And if it does indeed happen again, I'm going with LED's.

...Trans Ams have problems with blinkers. it happens to me...i'm about to have to replace another.
