Just never buy new! Never worth it! I say..whatever your budget is..how about a geo metro?! Bet youll love and respect your T/A more with that as your DD..lol Nothing like a sub 100 horsepower car to make you appreciate the qualities of american muscle..

Black- 2000 WS6 6spd Hooker LT
Yeah it's something you take for granted, even feels like some of the power is gone. You get back in your Trans Am and feel all powerful!

Get a nice used grand prize GTP or GXP still some power and definitely more comfortable fo DD use. I drove a GXP and fell in love with even the exhaust note. Prices are dropping daily on those older cars since everyone rather have a GTO or G8. I personally don't mine the fed V8 GXP for a DD.

+1 on the G8. Real nice car, 4 doors, no sacrifice in power. Faster than an A4, with close MPG.

Or, you can do like I did and buy another Z28 for your DD....

2005 Corvette LS2/M6 Magnetic Red Metallic (What else would it be?) w/ Cashmere interior
2002 Z28: NBM/Tan, MTI smooth lid, smooth bellows, !AIR, !cats, 1-3/4" QTP SS LT's, 2-1/2" TD's with X-pipe, MagnaFlows dumped at axle, custom welded SFC's, MidWest Chassis body mount adjustable T/A, 3400 stall, 3.23 gears (was 2.73). Tuned: 343rwhp/357rwt (before TD's). Best: 12.559 @ 108+, 1.73 60' @ 3500' DA w/MT ET Street DR's.
