my friend was telling me about some hood that you could get on the firebird that they used in like prostock kinda racing. it looked like the ws6 hood, but it sat much taller. you know what i mean? the duct things were much taller.anyone else hear about this, or got pics?

I thought the WS-9 hood was the one on the Firehawks, with the integrated snorkels on the front and the heat extractors on the sides. I think this one is ugly as sin, but I suppose if you've got a tall carb and/or a large roots blower on the intake, this would help.

thats the 4 in rise. the ws9 has a 3 in rise, but the ports arent bigger than a stock hood. its just taller.

Here is the regular WS9 hood. It think it looks great, but I'm a little partial.

ugh! it just kindas cuts off on the end that is the lamest part. i like the five inch hood with the exteension so it stretches to the windshield. i think that one looks better.

it also kinda looks like the ram air holes are just too little to match those giant air ducts. it looks a little funny i think. i bet it works grea though for guys who have a tunnel ram or some other tall intake

    this is strange to me...
conversion headlights and a body kit to make the car look super-low profile....
    then a huge Amplified-Scoop type WS-6 Hood

and a WS9 hood would be what most call a "plain jane" hood... WS9 is the base trans/formy code.... DER DER DER!
