    cracked mirror mount

can anyone help me find a replacement mirror mount even if I have to buy a whole new power mirror for my 01 Trans Am? I'm really having trouble finding one, it is the triangular part made of pot metal where the assembly mounts to the door.

Let me clarify exactly what I am looking for, I need the part attached to the exterior power mirror that has 3 bolts sticking out of it and a hole in the middle where the wire comes out. This piece is removable from the mirror assembly and is roughly triangular and made of pot metal.

thanks for everyone's kind words, after all the snow melted I finally decided to fix a few things that were bugging me, I ordered a new speaker for the one that was blown and took the mirror off. I have tried fixing it with JB Weld and Bondo glass but it just kept re-cracking. I looked on the site recommended by 2001 Camaro SS but when I searched for the parts they don't have any. If someone doesn't come up with a lead on that part I will just have to break down and buy a whole mirror from a salvage yard just for the little part I need.

thanks 2001 camaro ss but I am not looking for the part that is called "applique" and I do see they have a whole new mirror but it is over $200. I need the piece with the 3 bolts attached to it on the part of the mirror that connects to the door, it can be removed from the mirror with 2 Phillips screws and 1 Torx.

Same piece broke on mine a few months ago. I couldnt find a replacement either, so I used the epoxy that looks like 2 different colors of clay. I held the pieces of the mount together with vise grips, then applied a large glob of the epoxy around the whole thing. I did a couple of layers and sanded where needed. I havent had it recrack yet. Worth a shot if you want a quick cheap fix.

thanks everyone, I learned from a parts company that the part was never sold separately and often cracks. The last time I repaired it with Bondoglass it was holding up well until my brother-in-law leaned on it. Happy driving!
