CETA worth? NEED HELP!
Hey guys, I'm doing a project for my economics class, and I'm comparing the opportunity to invest in buying a limited edition run vehicle, or just saving your money. I've decided to do it with my favorite type of car, the F-body. Granted I'm a Camaro guy, but this is still a beautiful car....anyways
Basically, I need to know what the CETA cost new when it was on the factory floor, AND what it would be worth now, with say, roughly 1000 miles or so. As if you bought the car with the intent to re-sell it in the future (barely any driving, cars kept mint)
I really need these answers today if possible, so I really appreciate any help I could get from you guys. Thanks!

They are still roughly the same price.. in the mid 30s... It will be a while before the CETA will really be an "investment"

Thats what I'm trying to determine. Roughly 20 years later. I found one online with 800 miles going for ~50k. Basically I'm trying to find a percentage raise each year.
edit... and what did they sell for originally?

go to barrett-jackson.com or the mecum auto action and look and see what the ceta's went for this year. that will tell you what they are worth. it doesnt matter what people have them listed as unless someone is willing to pay for it. and yeah, new i think they were $34-36K. a new ws6 will all options was $32K

The CETA WS6 option was a 3,000 upgrade I believe.. and only 2,000 of them were made.. about 715 of them being convertables.... so a fully loaded convertable ws6 prob ran in the 36-39 range.. but don't quote me on that.

You can get a CETA with under 1K miles for well under 50K, that price is a joke. There is a new one on EBay (Never titled) 200 miles drop top and it could be had for mid 30s. The issue is if you are buying it and expecting it to be worth something down the line you can not drive it. I am trying to keep value with my GEN I Viper, but it has 19K miles, so it will never fetch top dollar.
If you are a Camaro guy why not get a 02 Anny SS?Last edited by 94rt10ohio; 02-15-2009 at 02:46 PM.

Hey guys, sorry it took so long on here for me to say thanks, but better late than never. I decided to go with the idea of purchasing a Yenko Camaro back in 68 and compare it to an investment in gold in the same year. Camaro came out as the better investment, but not by much! Haha.
Got an A by the way, thanks for the info guys!
