CETA mod
ok people sooooo im looking to have the CETA mod done to my viper blue t/a seeing as its at body shop
question is what kinda black paint should i use...gloss or flat?

sold: 1999 firebird- 1998 Trans Am
on the CETA cars, the bumper wasn't painted, so all you saw was flat black urethane. so to replicate it properly flat black is my vote.
nearly any car that has a black rear valence is flat black, be it Lambos, Cobras, Porsches, Vettes.. it just looks right.

on the CETA's is the bumper actually 2 pieces? or did they simply not paint that section of the bumper?

mine is also gloss black,I dont think the flat black would look too good on a light colored car

i also dont want that black that has a grayish tint to it that some of that satin/flat black has

the people that have done this mod what do you guys put over the paint?
i dont want it to start to peel or get scratched and whatnot
and could i have it cleared (like the rest of the car) over the semi-gloss and still give it the same look?
