Yellow- 2002 Trans Am CETA
Can you recommend me some new seats?
I've had this 2002 Trans Am for about a year now and the person who had it before me wore the seats out . They are very uncomfortable. The leather looks brand new, but the padding is worn out. The main thing is the controls don't work to well anymore and the lumbar is stuck in the raised position and feels like a softball poking in my back.
We've been looking at the Scat seats by ProCar. Anybody with those?
I wonder how the seatbelt would do, because those seats don't have the piece that holds the belt on the seat at the shoulder.
Has anyone bought new seats and are happy with them?

yea I seen that. 36 seems decently light but I couldn't even guess the stock weight

Op, check to see if the black tubing on both seats are hooked up. For the Lumbar support the motor is located on the passenger seat. If it is disconnected from the motor the lumbar will not work.
This usually happens after a stereo shop does an install of a system, because they don't know or care about this process when they re-install your seats.

The motor had been working OK, but usually it would inflate the lumbar but would only release when you turned the car off. I know, weird. The seat also leans toward the middle of the car a lot. The piece that holds all of the switches on the driver door has been messed up a little too. So I really want something different.
Those seats posted above look nice but that is pretty expensive compared to the ones in the Summit, Jegs, and JC Whitney catalog. Those Scat/Procar seats look just like those and they are less than two hundred dollars a seat. And I've heard they are nice and comfortable too.
