If I understand you correctly, you are saying the SS and Z28's were all black under the T-tops. This doesn't coincide with what I've seen or owned.

My wifes SS T-top car is body color under the T-tops,,,,yet it has the black outer roof panel between the glass though.
All of them I've seen have been the same way.

hm i just assumed, my 94 had a black top from the factory, and so the inside lineing of the tops were black as well,

but noted thanks for the correction i guess they were done different at different times

i will post some this weekend.today i sanded and repaired a few spots.doubled over everything with scotch brite.the rear roof panel needed alot of work to get those friggin bubbles out,i wound up grindin deep into the panel until i didnt see any more trash in the fiberglass.then epoxyed all the craters so nothing else will ever come from those spots.tomorrow i will prep em and fill em and maybe do some priming.its taking a little longer then i thought.if the panel wasnt $ 600.00 i probably would have replaced it.

Hope for the best on the top panel. The factory adhesive bleeds through the SMC and my understanding is that the only fix is replacement. More info here, along with what I am doing to our car: http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=119952
