Collector Edition Yellow- 2002 Trans Am CETA# 861
Which brake rotors are the best?
I have a 02 CETA that does a lot of sitting in the garage. Unfortunately, the factory brake rotors look terrible with all the orange rust after a prolong sit. Imagine showing the Collector Edition Yellow paint with Factory Black and polished wheels and all you see from a distance is orange thorugh the wheels. I have heard of some drilled/slotted rotors out there that resist corrosion/rusting. Are they worth a darn? Not really looking for performance, as I never reach high enough speeds to use them. It's a cruiser, not a racer!

Agreed with Shady. If it is the hat portion or the OD of the rotor, you could always powder coat them along with your calipers. Problem solved indefinitely.

In a forified area, alarmed & armed... it's Detroit! What did you expect? LOL.
02 CETA Vert 13,333mi. Automatic - all original. Brakes don't need anything... except I am talking about the rotor area and the hat. Motion and even extreme braking doesn't eliminate "all" the rust off the brakes (rotors) therefore look like crap when seen through those hyper black polished wheels. I have heard some stuff on BAER brakes, but am not sure whether they live up to the HYPE.
Also, I have been looking into some "modular" tile snap together flooring companies and have gotten prices, nothing too exciting. Anyone, have any comments on that as well? SwisTrax & Race Deck. I just want to help minimize moisture from the ground hitting her underside. I have a "well insulated" garage and it's heated, however due to the economy I am unable to keep it as "warm" as I would like. The cold ground and warmer air could spell some distaterous consequences.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
Which ones are best? The ones that work...
Then again I don't show but I do drag race. Slowing down from 108+ is tough on the front rotors.

I did a lot of searching and the people who go to track days seem to be happy w/ napa premiums. I just got some for my rears I'll have to wait and see how I like them.
