borla vs. loudmouth
i definitely love the sound of borla exhausts... i can get a system for 703 shipped through my friend, which i know is a great deal. but i can get a loud mouth for about 300. borlas sound 50x better, but is it worth that much money? (which, 700 bucks is quite a bit to me lol) plus i dont like the intercooled tips it comes with, so i'll have to find something else too.... what do you guys think about both exhausts?

While pricey...I would go with the Borla over the Loudmouth any day.

depends on your future plans.
If only want a few bolt-ons save the $$ and get loudmouth. If you want LT headers then most will say no to loudmouth. very raspy
If you have bigger plans like a cam etc. i would get borla. I see lots of people such as mr. lous swapping their setup because it is not very efficient.

i just listened to the borla again on their website, and i think i have to go with it
but on another note, i posted a thread earlier but aren't getting any responses... so i was hoping you guys could shed some light on this...
today i was driving and flew over a some-what blind hill to find out there was a ...bump on the other side. i flew over it (at anywhere between 80-100) and bottomed out a bit(a lot), but everything was fine (thank GOD). but when i got home i found something under my feet... it was a small twisted metal piece in the shape of a spring.. one of my friends thought it could be from the seat... driving home was fine and the seat worked fine except it was a bit rough tilting it back and forth. you have any idea what it is?

it sucks doing things twice and thats what will happen. 1000 for SLP first then the 700 for the borla. save yourself the hassle and do it right the first time man.

I had a loudmouth when the car was ordered from SLP. I changed it to the Borla and like the Borla ALOT better. Def worth the extra cash to me.

Also. FYI. The borla without plates in it is loud all the time. (thats what I like.) the corsa is quite, but gets loud when you get on it. Its a matter of preference though.

Yea. Id def go with the Borla on an A4. It will still sound really good. No need to go with true duels. Ill send you a link to my myspace. if you look in my videos it'll have three videos with my borla. keep in mind that Ive done LTs , High flow cats and some other stuff. but it gives you a good idea while im romping on it. actually, i cant get on my myspace because im on a Government comp. just look me up on myspace. my name is christopher sills, and im in quantico va. (let me know if that works)

I would say the exact opposite, I liked the LM better. Of course I *hated* the intercooled tips on the Borla. Impossible to keep them clean. Sound wise, the Borla got raspy above 5K (2000 SS A4 with bolt ons).
