2000 Grand Prix GTP- 2000 Trans Am WS6 M6
I blacked mine out with VHT, and I thought it looked good. I recently got tired of them and bought some new tails and now I'm back to the stock look. Stock looks the best, imo.

Arctic White & Black- '98 WS6 M6 - SWAPTIME!
I have the covers and I really like how they look but the only things I don't like is they don't sit flush with the tailights after I close the hatch and it's a pain to get them straight. Also, if you have covers, don't go thru an automatic car wash - they fly off. If my one tailight wasn't cracked, I would have gone the VHT route.

This is true. Covers are a PITA, mine wouldnt sit flush either. Personally, I liked the blackout look sometimes, but I'm glad I had the covers. Takin em off after 6 months made me realize how beautiful our taillights look. I won't try to blackout them again. If your just tryin something different i'd say do the covers. They worked well, plus you can remove them. It's not that simple if you wanna go back from the VHT

Blackened fire chicken- 2000 Pontiac Trans Am WS6
theyre not that expensive... why not just buy brand new ones bud?
i actually used this spray pant called "vht" for the 3rd brake light and the side markers, and they sell black outs for the fog and day time (front blinker) lights as well, witch i also have...looks great on a black t/aLast edited by Cutlass; 01-29-2010 at 05:27 PM. kinda like what CF_TRANSAM said The only thing i want blacked out is those damn parking lights on my 99' it wouldn't be so bad if they didnt stay on ALL THE TIME and GO OUT ALL THE TIME. That and yellow don't look good to me for some reason wish i could make em' red.

Jus buy some blackouts from autozone(or napa) thats the cheapest place to get em. there only like $55 brand new and you can do it all online and have them shipped if you want. I have a NBM and i love the look of my blackouts way better than the stock look. it jus flows better on my car being i got dark tint and blacked out 3rd brake light(black CETA mod soon) Better than VHT b/c you can take them off whenever the cops hassle you or you wanna pass inspection also....

black out just your reverse lights once and see how that looks. I have been undecided on doing the fogs, but after see ing yours, im gonna do it for sure. I blacked out everything except the fogs and the front blinkers. Took out the bulbs in the marker lights too. All VHT. I put it on a little thick the first time and had to sand and reapply a little less liberally.
