    Best Tires: 2002 WS6

Hey guys I was wondering about a good brand of tires for a 2002 WS6. I want to replace all 4 tires with "top of the line" quality tires. www.ws6store.com has - Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 315-35-17 tires for 277.99 each. The price is high but I am willing to pay( at local store not from website) if the tires are actually worth the money. What do you guys think??

tirerack.com has rating and reviews. but the question is what are you leaning towards.. traction over duribility or long lasting tires over top notch traction. i know if you dont mind getting new tires very often that you should look in the wheels and tires section..actually just post this in that section. and take off the nws..nws stands for not work safe.

KDW or KDWS are nice choices at good prices frm BFG. What are your driving habits and needs from the tires?

ive heard that the 315's rub when lowering springs are used is this true, also would an 18x10 rim on the back be an advantage to handling, would be 17x9.5 front. looking for a good agressive daily driver.

BFG KDW 2s are aggressive looking, handle great and hold up for good mileage. I was running 17x9.5s up front and 18x10.5s in the back with no issues. The main thing you want to be concerned with is that the diameter of the front and rear tires is the same or very close. If they are off more than .5, it can affect your speedo & ABS.

I have Yokohama AVS Sports on my '97 T/A...I've tried a few different brands, but I like them the best...they look good and they grip very well, and are not too expensive...the only complaint I'd have would be tread life...but then again, tires that are designed for traction and high speed tend to have a short tread life...it's a trade-off...

The '99 WS6 had Cooper Xeon 2Xs's on it when I bought it...they are so-so...they have better tread life than the Yokohamas, and they grip fine on warm asphalt, but on cooler days or on concrete they tend to not grip as well...

Overall, out of the different brands I've tried, I like the Yokohama AVS Sports the best, and I'll likely put them on the WS6 this summer...

    My life is a
    Ben Stiller movie.

Fuzion Zri's lasted a good 34k on my ws.6. Did pretty well in snow and rain too. They are uber cheap for a quality tire.

Firestone Wide Oval from the Tire Rack. Won't break the bank and has great reviews from most who own them. Just ordered 4 today.

Firestone Wide Ovals in 285 all around. Nice beefy look , fits the rim just right. look, better hook than the old Kuhmos and rides a bit nicer too. See your local Firestone dealer they are on sale this week $841 out the door , mount, balance for all four. No need to wait for tire rack. This was for 285's, stock size slightly less.

I wouldn't go Goodyear. I have BFG KDW's and they're great. If price is no object and want the best, I'd go BFG KD. Meanest looking tire imo.
