Just put lowering spring on my ws6 now I'm trying to replace front sway bar before taking it to get an alignment anyone know of a good one? Is it worth changing it?

Check with UMI Performance. Good prices and ppl. Quality stuff. All my suspension stuff is from them.

Now opinion about front sway bar - this falls into best headers, intake, etc...you're going to get a wide sway of opinions. Drag guys will tell you to remove them, while Autox guys will tell you 10 different aftermarket ons. Some ppl like the feel without and others want more stiffness.

depends on what you are using it for...if you are racing the car go with Strano hollow bars because they'll save you some weight...if weight isnt an issue save some $$ and get the UMI bars which work just as good, but they are a little heavier.

I would also recommend replacing both at the same time...just my 2 cents.

The reason drag racers say to take them off isn't because they like the feel better, its because it allows the front end to rise faster on launch, transferring weight to the rear quicker for better traction (in addition to removing a few pounds from the front of the car). The trade-off (obviously) is more body roll on the street. I've yet to meet the person who likes more body roll.

Swapping the sway bar will not affect the alignment, no need to swap it prior to getting your car aligned, can do this afterwards.

take it through the mountains and you'll notice a big difference...but only if you also drive a car with a front sway bar before or after.

10-4 on that. I've driven them for years without a front bar and no real ill affects, and I live in the mountains

Now I can jump in a car that has a bar, and there is a difference in feel, but not to the point that a car without a bar isn't driveable, they drive just fine, even with 90/10's on the front.

A trick we like to do is to space the frame mounts on the front bar so you aren't crushing the bushings, then grease them thoroughly. This allows the bar to rotate up and down more freely while still keeping the endlinks hooked up and functional. It minimizes some body roll, but allows the front end to rise on launch. We found this trick years ago running pure stock where rules dictate the front bar has to be hooked up and functional.
