Being away from my car is killing me
ok i need some suggestions...if your car was 1800 miles away from you, how would anyone go by picking it up? flying home, and driving it? having someone drive it for you? or getting it shipped by truck? or if there are any other ides, much would be appreciated

Well, you bought it to drive it, I imagine. If time and money were available, I would fly back (or ride bus), and drive the car back. Make it a road trip, and stop and see some of America while you are at it.
Either way you do it, it will cost you some money, so you might as well enjoy it yourself.

I'm not sure how much truck freight cost... I've heard it's usually around $750.
However it cost me about $800 in fuel from Boston to New Orleans to LA to Vegas to NYC and home again. (and that was over 6,500 miles) If you have the time drive, there's alot to see.

I've seen ads on craigs list for "rideshare", maybe you can find someone, who needs a ride, to split the fuel cost with.

I heard you could have it put on a train for way cheaper than it would cost to have it put on a truck.

im in Arizona right now. and my car is back home in illinois. but ya trailering sounds the best so far, b/c of the weather. and the reason my car was and is still at home is b/c i had to get the tranny clutch and slave cylinder repaired b/c the previous owner decided to run the hell out of it i suppose.
