01' Firebird Pewter- 98' Trans Am Black
Before an After
Well this is my firebird its a 95'
My dad bought me this car to be my very first car
and we worked on it all summer together
here is a before and after picture. after we pretty much redid everything this is my baby and it will always be.
Before when i had the hood open very first time driving it i hit a pothole so hard it knocked out a spark plug or 2

This is what it looks like now and will do nothing but look better!
Well yeah on the inside i have a sub i got in the back NOS bottle in the back seat, Magnaflo exhuast, decals, repainted tons of stuff on it like the trans am back hatch, hood, front bumper, wheels and tires
plus the hours and hours of jsut sitting there looking at it
This is pretty much everything we did to it.
Ram air hood/painted
Trans Am back hatch, Painted
Alloy alum. wheels
vette tires
NOS bottle
activation switch in console
repainted brakes and wheel housing
magnaflo exhaust
waxing
buffing
cleaning
decals
brake lights
speakers
amp
subs
overall my dad bought the car cheaper then the amount he put into it for me
so only about ~5500 for the whole car with everything in it
this IS my first car
and i plan to have it for a LONG TIME
so im going to keep it as nice as i can
Thanks ls1.com for all of the comments, and constructive criticism that you all gave me.
it took it ALL in to consideration and it helped a lot
there is still alot of stuff i need to do like
change my headlight bulb
get honeycomb tail lights
fix my antenna
and clean wax in the cracks lmao
also get some of the water marks but here in texas the water BLOWS and it drys super fkn fast.
well yeah thats my car :*)
im not trying to show off or anything i just want to let everybody know that even if you have a firebird with a v6 and think you cant make it look nice dont worry you CAN! i nearly had my looking like a Trans Am with a mix of formula and firehawk haha so yeah theres infinite things you can do to your car. its yours so you can do as you wish to it
thanks!

Definate upgrade on the wheels-not like you could have done worse. Is that a 3.8?

Blue GMC Canyon- trans ams gone now
looks very nice man. enjoy it! i had a 96 and 97 firebird before i got to my trans ams. enjoy it now and learn to appreciate and take care of them and not ruin it like a lot of kids do. ya got a real clean car there. and i believe the 95's still had the 3.4 and maybe a couple with the 3.8. it was the transition year i think.

01' Firebird Pewter- 98' Trans Am Black
Yeah my dads long time friend did the decals for me from his house. also about the engine
yes it was the transition year and i was lucky enough to get the 3.8L size one
i told my dad that and he was like
"sad face" of course you would get the bigger one hahaha
but yeah the decal lettering is made of the firehawk font my dad sliced on paper and everything hours of work from his part lol.

You and your Dad did a damn nice job on that car. Best Firebird I've seen yet. Compares very well with Trans Ams and you should be proud.
Keep it forever and don't let go.

p.s. I think it would look smokin with the lenses VHT'd or blacked out somehow. Your choice but, I think it would look even better with the lights blacked out.

Black- 1998 Trans Am WS6 'Vert
I haven't handed out very many compliments on Firebirds, and when I first saw the "Firehawk"-looking decal on the headlamp cover I was about to go-off on a "you friggin' poser" rant. But then I saw the bigger script on the door that says "Firebird" and was quite pleasantly surprized. NICE JOB. One of the nicest 'Bird's I've seen. I know what it's like getting the first car you've ever owned, after 28 years I still have mine and I cherrish it to this day.
PS: I'd recommend sticking with tail-light lenses from '93-'97 LT1s, they'd be more "period-correct" for your car than the '98+ honeycombs. But if you stumble across a good deal on honeycombs......... go for it.Last edited by JohnnyBs98WS6Rag; 09-09-2009 at 08:25 AM.

I'd also recommend a drop in the future if you dig that. I know I do on mine but, to each their own.
