depends on the driver i guess. ive seen it go both ways. if you get a good driver on a stick then the auto will get blown away unless the auto is stalled.

I think it is the driver all the way. A stall would never hurt a auto though.

not enough to notice, depends on drive if u wanna get technical..the way to see it is Auto's are better for straight line racing, Manuals are better for auto-x or just the fun factor..thats just my opinion

    considering quarter miles...

    auto: better 60' slower trap
m6: higher trap [by about 5mph]

Stock for stock, Manual is almost always faster than automatic. You could count on one hand the number of cars ever produced that are faster with an automatic from the factory, and its usually due to better gearing.

With mods its a matter of driver skill. With an expert driver, a 6 speed with 4.10's will keep up with any auto, stalled or not. However, most people can't shift as fast or as accurately as an auto, so a stalled auto will beat most 6 speeds with average drivers.

average driver, auto is faster and more consistent in the straight line. M6 drivers, you get tired after a while dammit! Plus when it calls for big mods, a stalled auto will run deeper in the single digits than a manual. Have you ever seen an M6 in the 8's or 9's without the driver getting out without busted knuckes? That's some damn fast shifting
