Anyone looking for a SLP trans am?

I didnt stop to look at the price, but there is red SLP trans am at the dealer near me, looks sharp. There is also a burnt orange WS6 6speed car at the used car dealer down the street. Both these places are usually high but if anyone is seriously interested Ill stop and get more info.

"SLP" has nothing to do with a 'Trans Am'. (Late 4th gen T/A's in general. But you don't mention anything about the year/design/options/etc.)

Most likely someone stuck the 'SLP' badge on the car because they used some aftermarket SLP items on it, liek an airlid. Big whoopie, ...

Wrong - SLP made the Firehawk which can be either a Trans Am or Formula!

Did the red T/A have an SLP performance banner on the windshield? Is that why you say its an SLP Trans Am?

It could be just a Trans Am with a couple SLP parts that the previous owner put on or like said above , it could be a Firehawk but you'd have to check for the decals and the hawk hood with extractors.

    Wrong yourself.
He didn't say "Firehawk". He said "SLP Trans Am".

And since when did SLP have anything to do the Firehawk pieces of junk?!? Where the hell do you get your information?

    1998 Trans Am WS6 'Vert

Not only has SLP been designing and manufacturing hop-up parts for f-bods since the '80s, they created the Firehawk series of Formulas/TransAms from '92-'97 and '99-'02 (only a few prototype '98 'Hawks were built). They ALSO performed the SS conversions for the Chevy Camaro from '96-'02, AND the WS6 conversions for the Pontiac Formula / TransAms in '96-'97.

To call a Firehawk a "piece of junk" is to call ALL f-bodies a "piece of junk".

A "SLP Trans Am" is not a specific enough description to pin-down what you are referring to. People slap badges on all kinds of stuff that don't belong there. You need to be more specific. Is it a Firehawk or a '96-'97 WS6? If not, it's just a car w/ a decal and god only knows what under the hood.
