    I'm looking to gut my cats before Friday before I hit the track. Anyone know how? Thanks for the help.

    I imagine though, to answer your question, I'd use my carbide hole saw with the 12' extension.

    hope you have the rear 02 sensors tuned off... just drop the exhaust and use an long screw driver... once you break a few chunks out it will come apart easier....

    Did they go bad??

    If they are still in working order, I wouldn't bother. I'd buy some used cats and gut those if you really want to. Then take your good ones and sell them,,,they have some value.
    I tried this route hoping for some gain. Didn't do anything at all for my car,,,ET or MPH. I still have the gutted cats here in a box if you want to buy them and try for yourself.
    All it creates is a really large area for exhaust gasses to get trapped and bounce around. I think it caused more turbulance than helping anything, or something obvious along those lines since my car ran the same.
