    Anyone have this sound too?

When I shift my a/t t/a from drive to reverse or reverse to drive I hear a "tink" sound coming from the transmission. The car shifts with no problems but I'm not sure if it is common thing or if something is clicking together that should not be.

I have heard the same thing. I have had the dealer check it out and they say it is nothing to worry about. I am interested to see what everyone else says.

Maybe just a little play between the ring and pinion when the load switchs direction from forward to reverse.

It's just a common sound you're going to get after launching hard time after time. I have it too and mine started after about 8 months of launching hard every tiime i wanted to play. The dealer said the same thing to me, "We couldn't find anything so it's probably nothing to worry about!". I've since had my car up on the rack at my shop and din't see anything. Although my tranny mounts were ready to be replaced!Don't know if any of this helps but i told you my situation with it!

ive got the same sound but mine does it when i take off in first.. even if i take it slow... it tings a few times then nothing from 2nd thru 6th..i havent done extensive checking but i was told it could be a broken spring in the pressure plate.. every time it pushes against it it slips out and makes that sound.... could be wrong though.. when i change my clutch ill let ya know for sure

it could be the differental and axle twisting under the pressure from the tranny.

mine does it too. only when i put it in reverse, just a little "tink" sound. I don't feel as concerned now.

I have not heard this sound at all. I guess I'm the odd ball, or all of you have something wrong with your cars.

j/k, Mine probably just hasn't been driven as hard as ya'lls, yet.

probably results from too many burn outs, makes the rear end a little loose

    though you cant hear..
    i love you sweet leaf!!!

my father in laws 99 ta had that to, kinda a "tink tink clink", he took it to a dealer and they found a hairline frature in the alluminm driveshaft, replaced it for god like $1200 and it went away....for 4 months..now its back, since he has changed the tranny and the rear end...still there, so it has to be driveshaft/link failurs. MHO
