Anyone have Heat Extractor Hood
Does anyone have one of the 4-Port Heat Extractor / Ram Air Hoods that they show on lmperformance.com?
Would like to see installed pics. Also if it's a good fit or a pita.

Do they still have lots of problems with cracking and major fitment issues?
Im still un decided on whether I like the look or not.
Is fitment a word? If not, what word am I trying to use here? Braindead.

Pewter- 2002 Trans Am WS6 M6
I was looking at this one when someone was kind enough to back into and destroy the hood of my car. Damn trucks. From the research that i did they did a redesign of it that solved alot of the quality problems it had. I ended up going with the stock ws6 hood but that was only b/c insurance didnt want to have to pay for the fitment work which is funny b/c they probably ended up paying more since a GM ws6 hood is $2500.

I like the hood, but its not for me. I'm too partial to the 4 scoop ws6 front end. if they made one of those with heat extactors, i'd be all over it

Here you go,
Fitment was good, It is a direct bolt on replacement for the stock hood after you transfer over all the hardware. The only problem with mine was it had a huge chunk taken out of it when it was shipped, the body shop was able to fill it tho.
The hood looks killer, and the heat extractors really help keep the temp down.
My buddy has an 00 SS and when we went out cruising when we popped our hoods and touched the air lid and mine was about I'd say 50 degrees cooler than his was.

That's a pretty sweet hood. We're a Trufiber dealer if any of you guys are looking for Ram Air Hoods.

i like this hood cause your still gettin the RAM air effect and you have the heat extractors getting rid of excess heat robbing the engine of power....call it rice all you want but it looks damn nice and it works.
