Any tall people here?
Alright, so I'm almost 6'4, and my last car I had troubles with my head hitting the roof. Is there anybody here that's about 6'3-6'4? And if so, how well do you fit into you're firebird/ta? If I knew anybody around here with one I would just ask to sit in it, but since I don't, I have to resort to asking an online forum lol. Thanks for any help.

Better make sure it has T-tops, which will give you an extra inch.
RIP??? How did she pass pray tell???

I'm 6' 2" and I don't have any problems, good leg room and around 2 inches of space above my head. I have a hardtop tho, and I hear that T-tops have less head room.

Definitely more when they are off
Seriously, if you evere get in one with T's you can see where the top of the headliner WOULD of been and you can see you have more room.
In case ur intrested though, I had a 94 formula back in 99 and was looking into the headroom on the 99' T/A 'cause I was concerned about the room too, I'm 6' but I thought the Formula was a bit tight. I was surprised to find out the T/A had an inch more head room. When I sit in the T/A I just bought, I don't have that same boxed in feelin I had in the Formula, it wasn't bad mind you but it was present. Plenty of headroom and side to side room (I have a 55" chest) I'm fine in it.
Now, 6' 4" ? my advice is to go sit in what you think you really like first.
One thing about me is I have this odd quirk that I can't friggin stand when a car's driver's side door for whatever the reason pushes my left leg into a position I don't want it in, usually like perfectly straight, it drives me nuts, and I was glad to find, My T/A don't do dat'.Last edited by {FzS}BlacKMagicK; 02-08-2007 at 10:12 PM.

makes sense to me. I've just never sat in a T-top and really took notice.

Become aware of your surroundings grasshopper. At one with the environment...At peace with the inner...alright I'll shut up now
Kraze At 6' 4" you'll just have to put the back of the seat way back, you'll fit in just fine then, adjust your steering wheel tilt the way that feel feels most comfortable, and then...NAIL THE SONOFABITCH!!!

at 6'4' you should be fine. I am 6'2' and have plenty of room. The only time i come close to hitting my head is when i have my helmet on at the track.

6'5" here. The key is to recline the seat as far back as you can and still reach the steering wheel. My first couple times driving the TA, I was very uncomfortable, until I got the right seating position.........
I'm fine with it now...Last edited by Luster; 02-10-2007 at 05:44 PM.

My brother has the same concern, He's 6' 3" and he keeps remembering the Formula I had, I keep tellin him, the T/A is different, when I bring it up to NY, he's going to see, he'll be surprised, maybe a lil' pissed, 'casuse all along he was thinkin he would be uncomfortable in one.
To echo sumthin that Luster brought up, for some reason, there does seem to be like some kinda break in period where at first your not quite sure how to get comfortable, but after a few times gettin in and out, positioning the seat just right, gettin yourself all sitiated...you just mold right in.

mighty comfy, unless you're driving far. then the seats won't be too comfy. but for around town, mighty comfy.
