you need to make your own decisions. what do you use the car for? daily driver/road race/autox car i'd definitely swap it to a 6 speed. weekend warrior/drag car leave it auto. how big is the converter? does it annoy you? do you have a built rear? a 6 speed will snap the stock rear easier than your auto will. lots to think about.

K,
that why i asked on here. u guys should know.
it has a 3k convertor. stock axle regeared.
i drive her everyday, but i the convertor does annoy the hell out of me.
it seems like it locks up early and makes a racket that just gets on ur nerves.
someone said u could go in and retune the convertor to lock up differently, but i dont even know what he is talking about.
and where we are at, there is no place that i can take it too!

It depends on your goals for the car. If you are wanting a drag car, the auto will give you more consistent, better times.
If you are wanting better MPG, autox etc, the manual would be better for you.
Swapping is not dumb, if manual fits your needs better or if you just prefer manual.
There is no right or wrong answer to this question, both have their pros and cons. If anyone starts this thread headed into a debate about one or the other being better, I will squash it fast. We have a ton of threads already on this site debating that and neither is superior, its strictly a matter of what better fits your needs.

I am not really wanting drag race this one, but i have a partner that has a shebly gt 500. We run from redlight to redlight and on the interstate, some roll ons every now and then.
But i do drive this one everyday, so i am wanting to make sure i keep the best dependablity of this car.
I sold my truck and now i can be without a car.
The cobra guy said he new someone that was willing to swap everything from his 02 to my02, but i dont know what all has to be done.
But the way i see it, if he wants it and wants to do all the labor or pay for it to be done, go with it.
But i am not wanting to spend any money cause he wants my tranny.
Sorry for the caps, at work. And it stays on caps.
