Alaskan drag race
We had a car show then we drove 50 miles to our drag strip for a free day at the track. I didn't run my bird but my friend ran his. It has minor bolt ons, with heads and a cam. It ran a 12.09 on an unprepped track in 60 degree dry heat. On a 150 shot of NOS it's ran a 10.90. Then they shut him down. Not enough safty equipment.

Absolutly. We also race our snowmobiles all year around. By putting smooth tracks and skis with wheels.

You have some explaining to do as to why you didn't run your Bird...... On a track you were already @ , on FREE Track Day ?????

Well, were do I begin. I am waiting on the dealer to replace my failed cats. After they do that I'm going to have them flush out my injectors ( 64,9?? miles) they've never been done. I have to figure out if the miss is being caused by the cat problem or if there is a plugged injector. When I asked the dealer about changing spark plugs they pretty much said they wouldn't do it because they were good for 100,000 miles. Which we all know isn't necessarly true. Finally even with my new (1400 miles on it ) clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, I still drive through it and most notibaly in third gear it feels like there is nothing there. It is (almost) impossible to find someone that actually knows anything about these cars or how to work on them properly. So with my trusty dealer service manuals I'm learning as I go. I know a hole lot more about early style small and big blocks, but the gen 3 engines are somewhat new to me. Then next will be the 2002 clutch hydrolics with drill mod. Last year when I made a couple of passes it ran ( now don't laugh!!) 15.70 at 95.33 mph and 15.77 at 96.50 mph and lost to a lifted ford crewcab diesel that was hotrodded. So I know it has some issues that need to be addressed before I can or will make any passes again.
