    Akward squeak noise

I recently installed the SLP LM1 on my car about 2 weeks ago. Recently I have been hearing a strange squeaking noise that sounds like its coming from the back. The whole set up is clamped on so could that be case?? Should I have it welded?? all feedback is much appreciated.

On the SLP LM the exhaust comes VERY close to the upper pan hard bar support where the exhaust goes over the axle.

My bet is that your exhaust is rubbing in this area.

Your best bet is to try and creat the noise while being outside the car, Ie wiggle the exhaust, start the car, move the body up and down etc etc. I wouldnt have the set up welded, clamps do the trick without noise and leaks as long as they are good and tight, double check all your clamps. Personaly i have seen a few that squeaked outback and a little lithium grease on the pivots points did the trick..

+1. Had the same problem with our Magnaflow catback. I ended up sliding the mid-pipe off the merge at the back of the Y around 1/4" and that provided sufficient clearance over the panhard brace.

Put some more rubber in the bushing that holds the exhaust, this will lift the exhaust a centimeter, thus reducing the stupud noise.
