    Air Intake Pictures?

hey guys, i was thinking about upgrading my factory air intake box for something else but i want something that looks good and is equally funtional. I like the slp lids but i love a loud sound when you step on the pedal coming from the intake. Just curious if you guys got any pics of your intake set-ups and your opinions on which ones work the best?

on the topic of lids, which one is better out of the ones offered from the WS6 store, SLP, MTI, Granatelli, or Fast Toys. regardless of looks and price but just on functionality, just wondering if they are all pretty much the same or if they are different in some way (i wouldnt think they would be).

it basically seals up to your hood and receives its air from the nostrils in ram air. i believe one of our sponsors carries it (dont know which one) but it can be found on ebay also.

That there my friend is the Volant Cold Air Intake Kit, most online ls1 stores pry have them i got mine from WS.6store.com, they are a sponsor, I think i paid 280 for mine. In my oppinon, if you want a cold air kit this is the one to go with, It looks BA, and performs well. They claim i think it is 18 more ponies, and 36 ft/lbs torque, but you can make a dyno say anything really...but there is definately a noticeable increase, esp with a ported MAF It seals up to the underside of the hood, fairly well, but with some pip insulation it is deffinately tight. Fitment on mine was good just had to have some patients and trim on my smooth bellows, but its my favorite...

Will it make a difference compared to my slp lid/kn filter I have now?
Will I need to get it retuned?

um im guessing you would pry see about maybe 8 or so horse, and may a bit more touque than that, but idk if it would be worth it if you already have a lid. I would highly doubt you would need a retune...

I got a functional ram air hood with k&n filter/intake kit. My question is what is that little filter on the side of the volant, I have a similar one on the airbox of my quad but it's the crank case breather tube, I highly doubt that's what this is?

If your thinking about what i think you are, its the filter for the AIR system, which takes air from the intake and pumps it into the exhaust to "dilute" the exaust gasses

Some people say that the lid give you 10rwhp, what about the volant? I never hear anybody say how much the volant gives you at the wheels.
