I have the SLP lid, extremly tight fit and from what I hear and have experenced it is one of the only products that SLP makes that is worth while, sad to say...

I have had nothing but problems with my SLP. If its not too late...dont order that one. You will spend about $30 more but it will line up. I cant get mine to keep the clips down.

I have the SLP lid as well.
Sanded and painted to make sure you can't read the SLP logo.

    Click for full size

Fits well though. Even better when the car was much closer to stock.

Larger than a stock cubed LS1 can handle.
    At least not without modification.

I have a May 2004 issue of GMHTP where they compared several aftermarket manufacturers airlids(LG, MTI, 1/4mileperf. SLP, Texas Speed, Whisper, GMS) on the dyno and the track on a nearly stock 00 Z and compared fit/finish and price etc. They were all with a tenth and 1 mph in the 1/4 with the MTI being the fastest by .02 and were within 5rwhp with the Texas Speed having the most by .4rwhp. They gave SLP the highest points for fit/finish and install ease. I could scan some of it if you want.

Yes I run the SLP lid and it touches my hood (02 SS) It's a very small amount. Other than that it's fine, no issues at all.

SLP lid here no fitment issues. I had MTI clear lid before, it was decent, but slp just fits better.
