Advice?
Hey guys, so I have a 02 pewter ws6, with about 60k or so miles on it, so far all that is done is the lid and exhaust, but exhaust is flowmasters just because I got a great deal. I am now looking into possibly doing a little more, but with a budget. Over the winter I have about 500-600$ I can spend, but I am lost on the best way to do it. This is where I am looking for some help, any suggestions on the most efficient way to spend 500-600? Thanks for any help you can give.

Maby some better shocks if your are still rolling around on the stockers, Koni makes some really good ones, I know that Strano parts makes some really good suspension upgrades for a reasonable price or maby a clutch upgrade. All kind of depending on what you want to do with the car is its a weekend cruiser or an everyday car. Do you race on the drag strip, or do you like hitting the twisties at mach 2. Or you could get a programmer, just making suggestions. Good luck and let us know what you come up with.

i would get a GOOD set of used pacesetters.. some coated ones or something.. should pick those up for about 200-250 bucks..
ORY.. 120 bucks new
cutout.. 30 bucks
and if you wanna spend about another 100 dollars more than planned, some gears.. at least buy them and if you dont have enough to install them right away then just save a little more till you have enough... should be able to get a set of 373s installed and everything for right at 300 bucks...

I got mine from the ws6store.com. And mine are race syle with out the egr crap, i dont have to worrie about emmisions. My cut-out is a manuel one, stainless steel tho, i have only closed it once for about 10mins stays open all the time lol.
but if your not in a rush in getting them, i would wait and pick some used ones like the lemons12 posted heck of a deal. Put mine on in feb of this year, and still look like the day i got them, its a daily driver too
if you go for a cut-out that does have to be welded, i dont know how to weld lol, muffler shop charged me 40bucks

explane that...
onyl reason up north would be for rock salt put on roads... but no one really driver's thier f-bod in snow...
down south... you're close to the equater and have a higher temp... you're more prone to heat soak...
what you said makes no sense to me at all...

if you remove the egr/air do you have to have it tuned out or is it simple disassembly? And if you do need to tune it out is it best to get the race headers and do it all at the same time?

Okay maby I'm missing something here. Everybody is hung up on exhaust upgrades, I know being heard from 2 blocks away is cool....but I would like to know if Big Jake wants to be heard or if an exhaust is REALLY all it is cracked up to be without adding other stuff like cams, intake manifolds, bigger injectors....or is keeping his car planted on the road with all the extra power added by all the other stuff is an oversight on my part.
