    AC doesn't work.

So I tried my AC for the first time and it doesn't turn on. Fan blows but not cold and I can't hear or see a voltage drain. I checked the fuse and relay, all good. Any ideas what else to check ??

Is your compressor clutch engaging? If you turn your AC on to max and have someone hold your RPM's to 2500, can you visually see the clutch engage? If not you may possibly be low on freon. You can get a can of refill and see where your pressure sits. If it's fine then it may be the pressure switch failed possibly.

Here's the typical stupid IT "Is it plugged in?" question. Is the secondary belt present on the car? My old SS would occasionally spit out an AC belt.

Actually, the two times my ac stopped from mile 7 to 260,xxx was once for lost belt, and once for low on Freon.

Belt is there for sure. Will low freon cause it to not come on at all ?

Yes, there is a low pressure switch that interrupts the circuit if there is insufficient pressure in the system. You can usually jump the switch to see if the clutch then engages. It is either then low pressure or a faulty switch.
