I want to know who actually owns a LS1 and really cares about gas mileage. My friend bought a 08 Vette and told me how great the gas mileage was, and my only though was when did buying a muscle car and gas mileage start soming toghter in the same sentance. My TA gets good mileage even with 3.73's and a A4 with my tune, but it was tuned for power not mileage and I can't wait for the stall and cam to get installed. It will lower the mileage but increase the power and isn't that what owning these cars is all about

but seriously with 275 tires that WS6's come with i wouldnt stress the rear end too much, now, throw on some 305+ tires and it would definatly be more of a priority

hey just out of curiosity.. what kind of rpms are you running at 70mph in 6th gear with those 4.10s?

i run right at 2k rpm which suprisingly gets really good gas mileage... at 1.7 k it gets much worse on the highway (which is what it was running before the 4.10s)

I ran up to Minnesota a couple of years ago, and found the best mileage stock at 87mph. I got 27 mpg in 6th. It sits at 1,800 rpm. I tried everything, except speed limit. You know how it is. Because willpower is no match for horsepower. Oh, and its 3.73. What i would like to do is gear it down, and be able to clear 60 in first. Like a ferrari, or a z06. Is this a bad idea with 450 rwhp? Or is it better to start out in second? I know im getting off topic. To the OP, subframe connectors, and long tubes. Tune, air, and cat delete. That's right, no cats.
