    96 or 97 WS6 people

    Hi folks,
I am trying to buy some WS6 springs from a 96 or 97 Formula or TA. And I need to know the letter on the white paper tab that is on the springs. IS there anyone that can look on your 96 or 97 WS6 and tell me the letter? I need the front and the rear. It may be the same on front and rear. I would greatly appreciate it!

    Thanks!
    Chad.

    thanks for the replys.

Ford: I don't know what "Sam" means.

Zeueses: what year is yours from? I want 96 or 97 only. I don't want the 98+ spring. Those are too soft. SLP and LMPerformance has "SS" Eibach springs for 93 to 02. Thats not what I am looking for.

I need the letters from the 96 or 96 WS6 spring for a WS6 formula or a WS6 Trans Am only.

    Thanks,
    Chad

I wouldn't have thought there was a real difference between the 96/97 and through 98 & up.... (WS6 Springs, anyway). What is the difference? So many times I get someone giving me some shit because they "think" that their 98 & up is "so much different and better" than 97 & down. What I did not know is there would be a spring issue (I thought they were the same). What is different? Is one or the other "better"?

I like my 97 WS6. I also like all other year WS6.... Curious now.

The 96-97 springs are shorter and stiffer.

So........ When I THOUGHT my 97 WS6 rides and handles stiffer, I wasn't crazy? (compared to my brothers 99 and a bud's 00'?) COOL.....

No you aren't crazy. I'm taking my 96-97 "SS" suspension off and put it on my 98. It's a way better setup!

do you know the letters on the tabs on the springs? trying to find some of those springs. You think the WS6 and the SS would be the same spring for 96 and 97's?

I am not positive, but I have been told that they are almost even because of the extra supports they added on the chassis of the 98>

If I were financially able, I would buy every Camaro and Firebird/Formula/Trans Am that I could find -from every year. I really never knew that there was any real difference in suspension or anything other than cosmetic (and engine, of course) things....... Hmmm.
