600 Hp by may 2010
OK well I am new to the site, so i appologive in advance if my thread is in the wrong spot. Ok so I have a high goal of reaching 600hp at the wheels of my 1999 m6 t/a. As of right now I have 389.7hp and 347.5tq at the wheels. so i have along way to go. I am 19 and would like to achieve this goal by the time im 21. i have all bolt ons now no internals, so if any one can help me by listing parts ill need to accomplish this goal. please keep in mind im only 19 and have to buy all my own parts so turbo kit is kinda out the question right now. Thankyou for your help and advice

Forged internals a must... Better valve springs a must... forced induction i recommend, turbo or supercharger... find your local shops that know there stuff about ls1's and go from there!

600 N/A HP is hard (if not impossible) without a stroker (383 LS1 or 402 LS2), spray, or F/I...if money is an issue, a better goal is 450-500 N/A HP.

my advise..build it from the ground up. there is alot you need to do to that car(i have the exact same car)to support that kind of power. start witht he suspension and go from there. this will cost alot of money. I have a decent heads and cam package on my car and I am pushing about 465 tot eh wheels maybe more. next summer I am going to buy a 427 block and build it from there. my guess is by the time I am done with that engine my car will be needing a new one. save your $$$$ if you realy want a 600hp car then get another job and bust your ass. but for that power plan on a new rear, tranny mods, and probaly a new block larger then 346

600 hp... how much are you willing to spend is the real question???
NA...
forged internals
cam
N20...
FI
forged internals
single turbo or APS twin
don't forget you will also have to update your drive line for that power...

and i guess it depends on waht your into..........if your more into short distance racing and tracking your car.....u know doing wheelies........spaz is right...........if u want to just have fun with your car on the street and not beat the piss out your rear id wait on the rear end till it breaks..........if your tracking it with stickys though just replace the fucker now..lol

600 RWHP on your stock motor is going to be almost impossible. You have to set realistic goals. A 408 with a really nice set of heads, decent cam and a FAST 92/92 will get you really close.
Play with what you got now dude. If you have full bolt ons'... then look at heads/cam packages. Stay away from sticky tires or your punie 10 bolt will break something.
450-500 is what you should be aiming for. And that power will be insane.370 CI - Twin 6766 Turbo - Jakes stage 5 4L80E - MWC 9" - Holley Dominator
