I've heard some interesting things about those, notably the thin walls on the block. Be careful not to spray it or anything like that

I believe TSP sells a built 455 block, im sure it costs an arm and a leg tho. Looks like a bad ass setup especially with those AFR heads. I know the guy that owns that company. Very very nice.

you can build one with an iron lsx block and spray it or force feed it safely its not real cheap though

Forget iron blocks i have seen a 472 alum block with 28psi of boost on it, made almost 1500rwhp and it was all aluminium, built custom alum blocks can hold insane hp.

the iron block was designed to handle 2500 hp iron is more stable than aluminum and you could actually buy the lsx block aluminum is awesome for the weight savings but the cost can be crazy and other than on this thread I have not seen a ls1 block bored and stroked to that size I think even with a max bore sleeve kit and huge stroke (with a decent rod angle) the ls2 would not be any bigger than say 430 cid I am sure someone is gonna say thats wrong but in my opinion a smaller cid engine that last is way better than a maxed out one that breaks

You think they put sleeves in it? It looks like from the first pic that they had to.
1998 Camaro Z28 1LE: TR Cam (plus normal cam install upgrades), Ceramic coated Pacesetter Headers, ORY, SLP Loudmouth (SOOOO Loud), B&M shifter, Lid, All free mods, Tubular Panhard, LS7 Clutch

so.... tell me. with no coolant gallies anymore how does he plan to get coolant from the heads? other than having it pour directly in the cyl.
also with those big notches from where the oil gallies were whats to stop the sleeves from spinning inside the motor as well as stop them from coming in contact with the heads upon every revolution?

There was one in Popular Hot rodding a few months back with a black bird with a built 455 running a speed density tune. Cant remember the numbers but it was bad to say the least.
