Yeah, there is already another thread.. I'm going.. and a few others have posted up as well. Its been 7 years since I've been there... and now that I FINALLY have a Trans Am to show up in (Yeah, cruising up in a Camaro didn't go over so well either time..lol) it should be a lot of fun.. just hope there still are as many cars show up as there was back then....

I am working at registration on Friday!

I have been a regular there for the past 10 years with my 70 Formula, because I always attended the "all pontiac drag races" that were affiliated with the show up at Kil Kare,,,,,unfortunately after talking to Bruce Fulper who is responsible for making the whole thing happen has declined to do it this year,,,,due to the track owner/operator not wanting to put forth any effort in the event, and it seems the club repsonsible for the show aspect of things doesn't offer much help either, coupled with the fact that the family is currently fighting for ownership of Kil Kare,,,Bruce decided to wash his hands of it.
Since there is no racing this year I won't be going to the show either. Lawn chair nationals don't interest me much anymore. Don't mean to be the rotten apple of the group here but without the races to go with the show, I just don't have the ambition to make the hour drive up there anymore.
If I feel like it,,,,I "MIGHT" come up for the all firebird "cruise in" in Tipp City on Friday night since that is more of a come and go as you please type of thing. But even that is iffy for me.
Hey easytoremember,,,,,I attended the Tri Power Nats in Norwalk and had a ball up there all weekend,,,,thats a top notch event at a top notch facility!
Hope you all have a good time,,,,cheers. Larry.

This is disappointing to hear =( I have already registered and plan on attending the Lawn chair Nationals..hahaha. I was only planning showing up for a couple hours each day. I find it hard to just sit there for hours at a time. I'm really into driving mine instead of playing show and tell. I've had my TA for 6 years now and every year say I'm going to take it to the TA NATIONALS and never do.....now it sounds like it will be a wash out !! Considering the news reported rain and Isolated thunderstorms for the Dayton area this weekend I hope they are wrong like they usually are !!! Hope everyone has a safe trip there ! God bless !

Ya I have done the show for 10 years while participating in the drag races as well. I found that made a nice mix of things to break up the weekend and made it more enjoyable. I would rather be racing anyway.
But to just sit there at the show and do a whole lot of nothing is not my cup of tea. I would go for a while, and after 2-3 hours I would leave anyway, don't care much about show trophies, did alot of that in the 80's and had my fill of it.
Thats just me though, you guys will enjoy it anway, Most didn't know about the races anyway since Sue Emmual never really cared for it and didn't advertise it at her show. Oh well. Larry.

Shucks, too bad though, I am always impressed with some of the machinery that comes down from Canada. I always see alot of Canadian stuff at the Tri-power Nats in Norwalk too,,,nice to see some different stuff that isn't normally seen further south in the states. Cheers. Larry.

The weather was great and the show was great as usual. My "MM" class was loaded with great cars.

Yes !! It was great weather !! It did sprinkle from time to time and we all had to wipe the cars back down. I was in the "MM" class with the SILVERSUFER !!! All I can say is what a beautiful car you have !! Loved it !! I will agree with him on the fact that all those cars blew mine away !! This was my first year going and had a great time.
