Silver- 02 Firehawk
2002 Firehawk
Hey everyone,
Im new to this site and new to the Firebird vehicles. I just bought a 2002 Firehawk 6 speed. I am wanting to do a couple of upgrades but dont know what I have regarding this vehicle. I want to put on a E-Cutout on it and I am not sure if the Firehawk has different size exhaust pipes than a ws6? 2.5 or 3"? Do I need to order 2 cutouts or would one work? I wanted to go with 4.10 gears does having a Auburn diff make a difference? Or do I need to change my rear end? Any performance chips for this vehicle? Anyway any help to the above questions would be great. Im really new to these cars so sorry for my ignorance.

SOM- 2002 FireHawk
Is she still stock? Best bet is Firehawk.org forums for answers. Some very knowledgable Hawk owners there.
No chips.

As far as memory serves, the fire hawks had the same size exhaust as the WS.6s, other wise I think they could order the SLP system. 4.10 ratio will fit fine, all you are changing is the ring and pinion, as long as you get the right sizes it's shouldn't be an issue. The Firehawks got a different air box, hood and a few other minor tweaks over the WS.6s, but over all the bones of the car are the same.

Just about everything that fits the WS6 should fit the Fierhawk. 2 1/2" exhaust (stock), 7.5" rear gear set and go to Frost for tuning by mail. Welcome to the site and good luck. Post some pictures when you can.

Custom Swirly Black- 2001 WS6 M6
Welcome to the site.
1. Should be the same size, 2 1/2.
2. One cutout will be more than fine, unless your pushing some serious power.
3. Once again, should be fine, but that depends on the overall condition. I'd match up some sticky tires with a gear change.
4. Don't waste your money on chips. Check out TunedByFrost.com - Professional Tuning For Your LSx Powered Car or Truck for a mail order tune custom for your setup.
